Technology For Wellness is a global hackathon where Gen Z creatives, coders, and student developers can build unique and human-first projects that reimagine how we take care of ourselves and others. Whether you’re new to tech or deep in the system already, you’re invited to build something only you could make.
HOW TO JOIN

Register on DevPost. This is the only way to enter the hackathon.

After registering, join our Discord to access the opening and closing ceremonies, workshops, mentorship sessions, and hackathon related channels.
Note: We won’t be matching teams for you, but our #hackathon-team-search Discord channel will help you connect with other builders.

Most Viral
Post a video of your project showing off its features and letting viewers know why you should win! Eligible platforms include: Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok. There will be a submission link open during the judging period, you will have that week to gain views and likes on your videos. The team with the most likes collectively across all of their social media platforms will receive this prize. You are not allowed to use bots to spam like your posts.

Best Use of AI
This prize will be awarded to the team that uses AI in the most creative way. This only includes writing code, not generating art with AI, or generating documentation.

Requirements
To be considered for judging and prizes, your Devpost submission must include all of the following:
1. Demo Video

1–5 minutes length. Do not exceed 5 minutes

Hosted on YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, etc. (must be accessible)

Show us what your project does. It can be scrappy, but make it clear!

What technologies did you use? Did you use AI? If you used AI, what model? Did you use a free or paid tier?

Which track are you submitting to? (You may submit to one main track and one or more bonus tracks)

Note: Please write your project description from scratch without using AI. We want to make sure that you understand what was built. If we discover that AI was used to generate documentation, we will be subtracting documentation and technical points from your overall score.

Add all teammates to the Devpost submission, make it clear what each person contributed
5. Information for Bonus Tracks (Optional, unless you opt in for the track)

For “Most Viral” optional track: Submit the links to all of the posts you have made about your project (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) You will be able to submit during the judging period, the team with the most likes across all platforms collectively will win this prize

For “Best Use of AI” optional track: Submit a detailed report of how you used AI in your project. Include the prompts you used, what model(s), whether it was a paid model or not, etc. We will judge this track by how creatively AI was used.

Judging Criteria

Wellness Impact
Does the project help users relax, track their health more accurately, or more creatively? Is it useful or inspiring for users? Would you say that your wellness would improve if you used this app daily or weekly? -
Creativity & Innovation
Did the team come up with something fresh, original, or unexpected? Ex: New ideas or twists on existing ones, clever ways to use AI to solve problems, Projects that make you go, "Wow, I've never seen that before!" -
Technical Craft & Execution
Are the prototypes & demos working as intended? Is there smart usage of AI tools, frameworks, APIs, & clear strategic effort? Projects aren't required to have working backend or hosting, but will be awarded higher technical scores if included. -
Design & User Experience
Is it easy & enjoyable to use? Does it look & feel good? Ex: Clean & intuitive design, clear navigation, UI/UX that feels welcoming, polished & accessible. We encourage you to have fun & be creative, but if that hinders UI/UX you may lose points. -
Community & Accessibility
Does the project make wellness more inclusive/accessible? Ex: Features that help users from different backgrounds/cultures, efforts to make wellness feel natural/less like a hassle. You may lose points if AI usage hinders the accessibility of the project.
