Eligibility
Technology For Wellness is open to participants worldwide. All experience levels are welcome, including beginners. You do not need to identify as a woman to participate.
Team Size
Participants may work solo or in teams. All teammates must be listed on the final Devpost submission, with each person’s contributions clearly described. Team may not exceed 5 members.
Project Timeline
All projects must be created during the official 48-hour hacking period, from Friday, August 14 at 6 PM EST to Sunday, August 16 at 6 PM EST.
Teams may brainstorm ideas, form teams, research tools, and plan before the hackathon begins, but they may not start coding, building, or creating project assets until August 14 at 6 PM EST. Any project work completed before the official start time will make the submission ineligible for judging and prizes.
Submission
All submissions must be submitted through Devpost by the deadline. Late submissions will not be eligible for judging or prizes.
To qualify for judging, submissions must include:
- A 1–5 minute demo video
- A written project description
- A public code repository
- Team information and contribution details
- Any required bonus track information, if applicable
Original Work
Projects must be original work created by the submitting team. You may use open-source libraries, APIs, frameworks, tutorials, and starter templates, but you must clearly credit anything you did not create yourself.
AI Use
AI tools are allowed for building and prototyping, but teams must be transparent about how they used AI. If submitting for the Best Use of AI bonus track, teams must include a detailed explanation of the AI tools, models, and prompts used.
Project descriptions and documentation should be written by the team without AI-generated copy. We want to see that you understand what you built. If a judge marks your documentation as AI generated, you may be disqualified.
Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to treat each other with respect. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, bullying, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated in the Discord, Devpost, workshops, ceremonies, or any other hackathon space.
Fair Play
Participants may not:
- Submit work they did not meaningfully contribute to
- Misrepresent their project, team, or use of tools
- Use bots, paid engagement, or spam tactics for the Most Viral track
- Plagiarize another team’s project
- Tamper with judging, voting, or submission systems
Violating these rules may result in disqualification.
Judging
Projects will be judged based on originality, impact, technical execution, user experience, and alignment with the chosen track. Bonus prizes will be judged separately according to their specific criteria.
Judges’ decisions are final.
Prizes
Prize amounts are listed in USD. Teams are responsible for providing accurate payment information if selected as winners. Prize distribution may require additional verification from the organizers.
